Session 3: Sprint & Cornering + Handling Basics

Friday 7th Nov 6:00 am to 7:00 am - Meet at Heffron Park

This session focuses on sprinting and bike handling fundamentals. Riders will complete ten 40-second sprints at Zone 6 intensity with 20-second recovery rolls, followed by a 15-minute Zone 3 paceline effort. Handling drills include slaloming through cones and practising straight-line balance. Scientifically, sprint training enhances anaerobic capacity and neuromuscular recruitment, helping muscles fire more powerfully and efficiently. The session aims to improve acceleration, cornering smoothness, and control when riding in close proximity to others.
