Session 2: Over/Unders (Sustainable Power)

Wednesday 5th Nov 6:00 am to 7:00 am - Meet at the Spruce Goose

This session focuses on building sustainable power through structured intervals. Riders will complete four sets of 8-minute efforts, alternating between 2 minutes at Zone 4 and 1 minute at Zone 2, with 5 minutes of recovery between sets. Scientifically, these over/under intervals train the body to clear lactate while maintaining a hard pace, improving the ability to recover without fully backing off. This type of training is especially valuable for rolling terrain and dynamic group rides where the pace frequently shifts.
