SOCIAL
Our social events are a great chance to catch up with each other in something other than sweaty Lycra! As somebody once said, ‘It’s not about the bike.’ Although we will probably still talk about bikes!
We hold a variety of events and have previously hosted quiz nights, bike maintenance classes, cider & wine tasting nights, cinema nights, Christmas rides, brewery tours, yoga classes or just a casual drink a down the pub.
The most-anticipated date in the social calendar is our annual Christmas Awards Party. If you only go to one SCC event, it should be this one! We celebrate the achievements of our outstanding club members in the Club Racing Championships. We also have the Non Racing Awards and find out who is the Club Person of the Year and as well as the dirty mongrels, the big pistons and themulti tool fools. It’s always a special event and a great way to end the cycling year.
